The first of probably too many theme shows. All the songs in this session have parentheses in the title which makes for a somewhat random but oddly mainstream sounding selection. With a couple of exceptions this is about as Radio 2 as I get, though that's no bad thing once in a while. (file was bad - fixed now. Please download again.)

Pete, I've d/led this twice and both times it's stopped at 35 minutes, partway through The Divine Comedy - is it all there ?
Yup, my bad. I've been checking stuff religiously since the last time I screwed up an upload and the one time I don't bother...
All better now (I hope).
Shit, I completely forgot to thank Dave Shelton for suggesting a load of bracketted songs for this show back when I first had the idea. Thanks Dave!
You're very welcome.
Oh, and I just ordered a microphone, you'll be happy to hear.
didn't the sgt rock 7" come with a fold out Hunt Emerson sgt rock cartoon?
i think it was him - memory is... a shattered cup
Bizarrely, when I searched for tracks with a ! on iTunes I got exactly the same number of matches (68) as you. More than half of these, though, were tracks on Get Happy!! by Elvis Costello (plus its bonus disc) and quite a few of the others also had the ! in the album title rather than the song name.
F*!#In' Up, by Neil Young would be good though.
Hmm, not sure about the Neil Young. I'm thinking more of songs that end with an exclaimation so I can read them out as such.
Yes there is though you can't google "!!!".
Almost as good as the band "+/-".
Actually, I do wonder when a band is thinking of a name whether they check Google. I seem to be seeing a lot more unique words cropping up. I doubt "The The" would cut the mustard these days.
Yes, Pete, we did this in the last band I was in (last summer). Our head-honcho really liked the name 'Soma" (you know, Brave New World) but I dashed his hopes of uniqueness after a quick Google search...
had a devil of a time finding info on a band called 'we' who did an excellent album called 'as is'
even harder to locate anything on ebay
