Everyone Wants To Be Happy - Side A

A mix tape made by Andy Roberts for Paul Schroeder.

Weird Tape"This was a tape for me that andy did in the early 90's. He had a vast & amazing record collection and I still had a great many shortcomings in musical knowledge at that point; I may have just asked him to broaden my horizons. He clearly had fun doing this tape & it's something that I've gleefully returned to from time to time over the years.
A year or so back I asked my pal at work, (Lee) if he could transfer the tape to a CD; I had a few tapes that I was desperate to hear, but didn't have a tape machine with which I could transfer stuff into the digital world - so kudos to Lee for facilitating this.

I've returned to the digitised version of this tape to pluck out specific tracks here & there more than any of the other 'digitised tapes' that were converted at the time ...well, because the material on here is so good & so much fun!"

This is side A, the "Weird Side".

andys_mix_tapes as a syndicated feed on lj, if that's OK. Shame about the apostrophe...

Just listened to this one on the way into work today (Damian downloaded it last night while I was out having a mixed time) and I thought, "I bet this one was for Mooncat". And I was right.

Good laughs when they're hard to come by -- and just what I needed to hear today.
