Pete Radio 009

Listening through this session with a couple of hours hindsight it does appear to be one of the more accidentally esoteric selections I've put together but I hope that doesn't put you off. And if anyone can help with that Jim White track I'll mention them "on air" next time and you can tell all your mates. Oh, and apologies for the massive nasal exhale towards the end. Finally, we're now podcasting at the higher rate of 96kbps, which means it's all a little clearer. Think less AM on a mountain, more FM in an old car.

I think the original of King of the Road was by a bloke called Roger Miller. Or maybe he just wrote it. Anyway, the version you have may well be Jim White as far as I know.

There's also a ropey, rather drunken version by REM if you're interested.

Yes, Roger Miller wrote King of the Road and in this case the priginal will always be the best for me. I listened to #9 in the car driving to Heathrow (burned the podcast to a CD) and then listened to #8 while flying acros the Atlantic. Both podcasts hit the spot!

Hi. Just to let you know, we reviewed your podcast on the Vox Monitor IdiotVox Podcast Review Podcast. I think it was on episode 2 or 3. You can hear it at www.voxmonitor.com

It's actually a positive review, though the quote in text beneath your podcast kind of makes it sound like it isn't. (I didn't choose the quote.)
