I think the original of King of the Road was by a bloke called Roger Miller. Or maybe he just wrote it. Anyway, the version you have may well be Jim White as far as I know.

Yes, Roger Miller wrote King of the Road and in this case the priginal will always be the best for me. I listened to #9 in the car driving to Heathrow (burned the podcast to a CD) and then listened to #8 while flying acros the Atlantic. Both podcasts hit the spot!
